Barry Stokes Introduces StructureScan™
It’s Really Not Cheating. But Fish Think Otherwise.
Introducing the most incredible tool for improving fishing success ever devised by Lowrance, for all HDS displays.

fish- and structure-finding to the highest level of viewing detail ever achieved.
It’s the first to give you full and phenomenal panoramic underwater sonar imaging with picture-perfect viewing. Scans
left…scans right…AND for the first time, scans straight down from your boat!
The whole, big picture with added extras to remove all guesswork. So you spend more productive time fishing.
Catching is still up to you.
Features that work together to set Lowrance
StructureScan™ sonar imaging apart.
All screen images are actual, unretouched on-the-water sonar recordings.

New DownScan Imaging™ Advantage
Welcome to the incredible and innovative new
dimension in Lowrance fish-finding -- highdetail
sonar image scanning focused straight
down below your boat!
Employ this exclusive StructureScan™ feature,
and there’s no more guessing. Submerged
timber looks exactly like timber. So do brush,
pilings and stumps. You get the picture. Or, you
will with your Lowrance HDS display.
SideScan combined with DownScan Imaging™
SideScan combined with DownScan Imaging™ with cursor depth/distance pop-up detail
SideScan + DownScan Imaging™ Edge
Merging Lowrance side and down sonar scans
in split-screen gives you the absolute best of
both worlds in high-detail panoramic imaging for
fish- and structure-finding on your HDS display.
SideScan for wide-area surveys. DownScan
Imaging™ for more well-defined scrutiny.
Together, the clearest way to view and attack
sweet spots ever devised. Cursor over locations
for helpful depth and distance detail for new
precision in bait or lure presentations. Or, to set a waypoint.
You’ve never seen anything like this before. Because there’s never been anything like it before.

DownScan Imaging™ (left) confirms trees, 2D sonar confirms fish as arches
DownScan Imaging™ + 2D Sonar WOW Factor
Here’s an exclusive new Lowrance advantage that’s nothing less than
astounding and incredibly helpful.
Even with the exceptional Broadband Sounder™ technology built into most
HDS models, traditional 2D sonar displays can be tricky to interpret. Timber,
dock pilings and cables, rocks and other structure can look like a school of
large fish. Or, a stack of large fish may be mistaken for structure.
Not any more. Compare DownScan Imaging™ with 2D HDS sonar viewing in
split-screen, and you’ll remove all doubt.
The StructureScan™ sonar imaging 455/800 kHz transducer works in
tandem with your HDS 2D sonar transducer without cross-talk interference.
Plus, as an added benefit, comparing the two helps you learn to “read” 2D
sonar displays with much greater accuracy.
Good thing for you. Not exactly good news for fish.
StructureScan™ multi-view featuring SideScan, DownScan Imaging™ and 2D sonar
All Together, Making Underwater Discovery A Sight Better
Lowrance StructureScan™ sonar imaging absolutely makes your HDS the most complete and versatile
on-the-water recreational fishing electronics tool ever innovated.
Pick what you want to display in any combination. Full screen, split-screen and (with HDS-8 and
HDS-10) even a multiple window view.
Your display choices include high-detail navigation cartography viewing (except HDS-5x), with built-in
Lowrance Lake Insight™, Nautic Insight™ or Insight USA™ with high-detail Fishing Hot Spots® inland
and coastal detail. As well as all Navionics® chartcard options, including all Platinum offerings.
StructureScan™ TrackBack™ feature lets you simultaneously scroll backward thru sonar and GPS records to find and mark waypoints
History Repeats Itself to Mark What You Missed.
Save time, save gas, save regrets in not marking spots you accidentally missed.
With the synchronized TrackBack™ tool, you can scroll back through the records of any SideScan,
DownScan Imaging™, 2D sonar or GPS chartplotter screen. Even in multi-window display, all views
simultaneously track together as you scroll back in time over your previous course.
Find your spot, push a button, mark a waypoint.
If you’re networked, that waypoint is automatically shared with every HDS display onboard.
Easy, Inexpensive Onboard Networking.
So technically advanced, Lowrance StructureScan™ sonar imaging is by
design as easy to network as it is to use.
Single HDS Display.
Simply connect one add-on powered LSS-1 “black box” module
(includes imaging transducer) with a single high-speed, high-bandwidth
Lowrance ethernet cable (also included).
But why settle for one screen to view? The ingenious
StructureScan™ sonar imaging black box networks with up to three
HDS multifunction displays to share SideScan, DownScan Imaging™
and 2D sonar screens for boat-wide underwater surveillance with
Just purchase additional ethernet cables, and you’ve got a full
underwater imaging network working in your favor.
Techno Marvel. Marvelously Easy to Install.
For any HDS display, two easy-to-install add-on components launch the newest giant leap in fish- and structure-finding.
The brains: the LSS-1 fully-waterproof module. Hook it up to a 10-18 VDC power supply, and via simple
plug-and-play ethernet cables, network with up to three HDS displays for viewing and independent display control.
Or, network with other HDS add-on options to enhance your on-the-water safety and fun. Like the Lowrance BR24
Broadband Radar™ option, the first high-detail radar safe enough for inland waters and tight harbors. Or the LWX-1
antenna for satellite weather and radio with unique SIRIUS® subscriptions.
The heart: the LSS-1 imaging transducer. Rugged, yet with a smoothly fluid low-profile, low-drag design, it’s
made for multiple mounting locations – transom, transom step, jackplate, even trolling motors (with a simple,
inexpensive adapter option). It also has a built-in water temp sensor.
For transoms, there’s a smarter-designed, stainless steel mounting bracket with a kick-up feature for water hazard
strikes. Damage the bracket, and you simply replace it (not the entire transducer) inexpensively.
